del cine. Un jurado de 1500 artistas, críticos y historiadores de cine ha
elegido la frase "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn", de Lo que el
viento se llevó, como la más memorable de todos los tiempos.

Pero cómo COÑO pueden hacer una lista sin ni siquiera UNA FRASE de
Tarantino.
Por ejemplo, de Pulp Fiction, Harvey Keitel dice frases como,
"So pretty please with sugar on top, clean the fucking car",
y Quentin Tarantino dice " Did you notice a sign in front of my house
that said 'dead nigger storage'?"
y Honeybunny (Amanda Plummer) dice al principio "Any of you fucking
pricks move, and I'll execute every motherfucking last one of ya!"
y claro, la conversación entre Samuel L Jackson y Travolta sobre las
hamburguesas, y sobre Amsterdam, etc.
TODAS ESAS FRASES merecen estar ahí.
Y vale, tienen "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" de
Apocalypse Now, pero no es comparable con esto de Kurtz:
"I've seen horrors... horrors that you've seen. But you have no right
to call me a murderer. You have a right to kill me. You have a right
to do that... but you have no right to judge me. It's impossible for

O de Easy Rider, "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of
gas, a half a pack of smokes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses"
¿Y las frases de películas inglesas? Vale, es la AMERICAN film
institute pero son frases de películas mundiales.
¿Dónde están frases como "Infamy Infamy, they've all got it in for me"
que dice Kenneth Williams en "Carry on Cleo"?, esa frase TIENE que
estar ahí por huevos.
O "Who's the daddy?" de la película Scum (que dice Ray Winstone). O
"Stop throwing those bloody spears at me" de Zulu (Michael Caine).
Y en cuanto a "Withnail & I", toda la PELICULA es una frase memorable,
conozco a gente que pueden decir la peli entera. Pero destacan...
"I fuck arses, who fucks arses? maybe he fucks arses, maybe he's
written this in some moment of drunken sincerity. I am in great danger
and must get out of here at once."
" I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze!"
"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here,
and we want them now!"
o el famoso porro "Zanahoria de Camberwell"..
"Withnail: who says it's a Camberwell Carrot?
Danny: I do. I invented it in Camberwell, and it looks like a carrot."
Para mí, el hecho de que la lista ignore COMPLETAMENTE "Withnail & I"
que es, en la opinión de la gran mayoría, una de las mejores películas
para frases famosas que todo el mundo dice en la conversación
cotidiana (al menos en Inglaterra - no sé si la versión doblada al
castellano inspiró tanto a la gente) comprueba que la lista esa es una
puta mierda. Con perdón.
